Where does my Concierge book live?
Sign in at My Books with the email you ordered with. Your book is already there, on its own Concierge shelf above everything else, with a CONCIERGE badge on the card.
Open it and every tool starts from the settings we used.
Why it's a separate shelf
Because it's a different thing from the rest of My Books, and it keeps for longer.
The other cards on that page are backups — copies of projects you saved from your own browser with the ☁ button. Those are held for 60 days from your last edit.
A Concierge book is a deliverable, so it gets 90 days, counted from delivery or from your last edit, whichever is later. Opening the book and working on it pushes the date out again. The card shows you the exact date, so you never have to work it out.
What happens at 90 days
The copy we host in My Books comes down.
- Your purchase does not expire. The license stays on your account permanently.
- Your kit is yours once it's on your computer, and it already contains everything. The download itself runs on a shorter clock: it stays open for 30 days after your first download (60 days after delivery if you never download it), and then we delete it, along with the manuscript and art you sent us. Save the zip somewhere safe.
- The book itself is in the kit.
Project/project.jsonis the same project. Open it from My Books → Open project file… on any machine and every tool is still unlocked on that book, because the unlock follows your account and the book's id, not our copy of the file.
So the 90 days are about how long we hold a convenience copy, not about how long you own what you bought.
Keeping it permanently
Press the ⬇ on the Concierge card and you get the project file straight away — that copy is yours with no clock on it at all. Do that once and the retention window stops being something you need to think about.
What travels with it
- Your cover and every setting behind it.
- Your manuscript, so the Interior Formatter can re-compose the book rather than just show you a PDF of it.
- Every interior setting we chose — the style, the typeface, the chapter openers, the spacing.
- Your front and back matter.
- A Complete Book license, so every tool is unlocked on that book and exports come out clean, with no watermark.
The badge follows the book
If you also have a local copy of the same book in this browser, that card is marked too. The designation belongs to the book, not to one particular card.
If you'd rather not use the account at all
You don't have to. The same project file is in the Project/ folder of your kit zip, and you can open it directly from My Books → Open project file… on any computer, signed in or not. See What is in the Concierge kit?
