What is in the Concierge kit?
Your kit arrives as a zip with a README.txt at the top that describes that specific kit — the counts and the editions in it are the real ones, not a template. Read that first; this article is the general shape.
The folders
Interior/— the print interior PDF at your trim and paper, the EPUB, and the export report (page count, what we changed, how it was set). See What is in the export report?Cover/— one print-ready wrap PDF per edition you ordered, plus the ebook cover JPEG at 1600 × 2560.Marketing/— mockups in neutral and transparent versions, Amazon A+ images with their own README, the social video, and the social stills.Copy/— your blurb, bio, and flap copy as plain text, ready to paste into KDP or IngramSpark rather than retype.Project/— the project file, your manuscript, andHOW-THIS-BOOK-WAS-SET.txt.Manuscript Report/— an assessment of the manuscript itself, with measured statistics, independent readings, and a style sheet.
Every folder is in every kit.
Which file goes where
The README spells this out for your specific kit, but the shape is always:
- Upload the interior PDF and the wrap PDF for the printer and binding you're actually using. Ignore the others — a kit with four wraps in it is four options, not four steps.
- The ebook cover JPEG goes with the EPUB.
- IngramSpark will ask for the ISBN you assigned; the barcode space is already reserved on the back cover.
The Project folder is the important one
Project/ is what makes the kit outlive us.
project.jsonis your whole book as the site stores it — cover, settings, front and back matter, manuscript. Open it from My Books → Open project file… on any computer, with or without an account.- the manuscript
.docxis exactly what we typeset, unchanged. HOW-THIS-BOOK-WAS-SET.txtis the settings in plain English — trim, interior style, chapter count, and every setting we changed from its default, written out as text.
That last file exists so the decisions are legible without any software at all. Another designer can read it. A different program can be set to match it. You can read it in two years and know what was done.
This folder is also why the kit is worth keeping. The kit download stays open for 30 days after your first download, then we delete it; we host a copy of your book in My Books for 90 days after delivery. Project/ is the same book with no clock on it. Save the zip somewhere safe and nothing can lapse on you. See Where does my Concierge book live?
Editions we couldn't make
If your kit is missing an edition you expected, the README names it and says why. Printers publish their own limits — a minimum page count for a hardcover, a minimum spine width before text can go on it — and a book that falls under one of them can't be made in that edition by anyone.
Those limits are about length, so they're not permanent: a longer book, or a smaller trim size (which makes the same words run to more pages), brings the edition back. Re-exporting costs nothing.
Review copies
ARCs aren't in the kit, but the tool for them is on the site and your book is already unlocked for it: My Books → your book → ARC Watermarker, upload the EPUB from Interior/, paste your reviewers' addresses, and each gets a personalized, traceable copy. See ARC & review copies.
