Are the mockups based on my actual trim size and spine width?

Yes. The 3D book is rendered at your book's real proportions and thickness, so a slim novella and a fat epic look correctly different.

Which cover file should I use for mockups?

Load the book you built in the Cover Maker (or open its project file). The mockup tool uses your real cover so the render matches your book.

Can I make mockups before ordering a physical proof?

Yes. Mockups are generated from your cover file entirely on your computer — no printed copy or proof order needed.

Which mockup images have transparent backgrounds?

The pack includes both — transparent PNGs (for compositing onto any background) and versions on a clean neutral background.

Why is there a watermark on the mockup preview?

Free mockups carry a preview watermark so you can check them first. Unlock the book and the same pack downloads clean.

What size are the downloaded mockup images?

High-resolution PNGs, large enough for websites, newsletters, ads, and social — RGB, made for screens.

Can I use the mockups commercially?

Yes — they're images of your own book. Use them freely for ads, your store, your site, and any promotion.

Can I add a custom background to a mockup?

Use the transparent PNGs to place your book on any background you like in your own image editor. For a series, you can also add sibling covers to a shelf shot.

Why does the book look too thick or too thin?

The spine thickness comes from your page count. If the book looks wrong, your page count is probably off — set it to the real number.

Can I create mockups for a series?

Yes. You can add the front covers of your other books to a shelf-style shot to show the whole series together.

Can I make a video of my book?
