Is the large print edition included?
Yes — it is part of the same $19.99. On My Books, the 🔎 button on a book you have unlocked makes its large print edition, and that edition arrives already unlocked. You do not pay twice.
What you actually get
A large print edition is a separate book, not a setting on the first one, and that is deliberate — a retailer treats it as its own product:
- Its own trim: 6 × 9. Bigger type needs a bigger page, so the edition is re-set rather than enlarged.
- Its own page count and spine, which is why its cover is exported separately from the paperback's.
- Its own ISBN. The field is deliberately left blank rather than copied. Two editions sharing one ISBN is a real publishing error — the number is the identity of the product, so a large print edition carrying the paperback's number is the wrong book on the shelf.
- Its own copy of the manuscript, taken at the moment you made it. If you later revise the original, the edition says so on its card rather than quietly shipping last month's text.
Why bother making one
Libraries buy large print, and most self-published books never offer it — there is no extra cost to you here beyond the time, and it is a real edition on a real shelf that your competitors mostly do not have.
One per book
One large print edition comes with each book. A different title is a different book and its own purchase — see What does "per book" mean?
If you delete your edition and make a fresh one, that new one is a new project, so it will not arrive unlocked. Email [email protected] with both book IDs and we will sort it out.
